The Merchantman Pub is conveniently located in downtown Charlottetown, directly across from
Charlottetown’s largest hotel and convention centre - the Delta Prince Edward. The Merchantman Pub is located in one of Charlottetown’s beautiful historic properties near the waterfront.
Offer your guests an off-site dinner that celebrates the seafaring past of Charlottetown when most
goods and services arrived in the city via the wind and waves. These salt air impressions become real as you examine the fully rigged model schooner and the lanterns above the bar. The relaxed
ambiance is quickly established as soon as you enter through the solid paneled door. Your guests
will appreciate the rich history of the building that was originally built as a merchants’ shop in 1856.
The menu features a selection of “Pub” fare (luncheon items and lighter fare) as well as a more
extensive dinner menu served in the evenings. The focus is on serving fresh Island products from
land and sea. The Pub seats 110 persons in total and features a private dining room for up to 35
people for private/corporate functions.
The Merchantman Pub has been voted “The Best Neighborhood Pub” for 2006-2007 by the Best
Independant Restaurant Association.
